Skoll
A recruiting and roster tool for coaches, built mostly to find out where an AI scout stops being useful.
Coaches keep the roster in one spreadsheet, the recruiting notes in another, and the actual decision in their head.
Skoll is an MVP that puts all three in one place. Team management, season setup, a recruiting pipeline, and a scout view that reads player notes and surfaces who fills a gap in the roster. Gemini does the reading. The interesting product question is where the model stops being useful, which is roughly the moment it starts ranking sixteen year olds on a scale.
I built it fast to see the shape of the thing rather than to ship it. What it proved is that the hard part is not the model. Nobody has clean data on a high school athlete, and everybody has an opinion about one.
It is parked. If it comes back it comes back as a notes tool that happens to have good search, not as a scout.
